Blatchford Hangar wedding photographer
Hands clasped, she’s rubbing one into the other as I lead her onto the grass. He is ahead, back turned, standing under a tremendous tree. The branches reach out into the full sky, the same sky that predicted rain for us all week is now the colour of a blue bird and the sun shines through the leaves casting holes onto the grass. The wind picks up her veil and it floats back down brushing her bare shoulder. She walks the long walk toward him, waiting, he is smiling that big smile he only gives her. She says his name and he turns around to see his bride for the first time. Now I know what the face of someone who’s heart is bursting out of their chest looks like. I asked Pamela what she loved about Stephen when we first met and she looked right at him, forgetting I was the one that asked the question and said, ‘I can 100% be myself with you and you don’t expect me to be anyone else’ Repeated again in her vows at the Blatchford Hangar in Fort Edmonton Park, you feel the truth in this but the way he looks at her proves she doesn’t need to say a word. Congratulations Pam & Steve!
