The brundigity's - Kait and James - Edmonton wedding photographer

Kait  sent me her first email with excitement and spunk. She had only been engaged for a week and was referred to us from  Jill and Chris. I was beyond excited to meet with them. After asking her to tell me a bit more about the two of them, she shared with me a quote that sums them up perfectly.

“We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.”

During the speeches, Kait was tearing up. Sonia, her best lady was talking about how Kait does such great work at the Stollery and how proud she was of her. As she wiped a tear (as we all wiped a tear) James put his hand on Kait’s shoulder. She immediately smiled at him and took a breath. He calmed her with just one touch and right there in that moment I realized her tears of pride were for him the whole time. Kait told me when we first started chatting that “I never understood when people would tell me “It was love at first sight” or “I knew I would marry him after our first date” I always thought that sounded so cliche and cheesey….But after that first weekend I was like “Oh. This must be what that feels like.” — seeing them together these years later, they still have that giddy affection for one another. Well Kait is the giddy one, James is basically the coolest cucumber around, even when his own head has been replaced with a cat’s head in a toast to the bride speech… here all along I thought Kait was crying because Sonia defaced the engagement photos with cat heads. I guess I was the only one crying about that.

The reception in the River Room at Shaw Conference Centre was gorgeous. Styled by Elegant Earth, it really captured their rustic elegance.
