I

I can’t imagine a more perfect time of the year for an intimate Alberta farm wedding. There is time to soak in a day in Alberta in the summertime—the sun stays up until well into the evening, and when the sky is finally dark, the night feels well-earned and magical.

Lindsay and Shane’s wedding day was bathed in bright prairie light. It streamed in the windows of the old country church where they said their vows in front of family and friends, including those that had travelled all the way from Australia to be there to share the day with them.

It lit up the Alberta sky—cloudless and blazing blue.

It poured over the surrounding fields—golden waves of wheat.

But, even more than this gorgeous day, Lindsay and Shane’s connection with each other and their families, is what radiated. And of course it did: when you have family and friends travelling from Australia and Europe to celebrate with you, you make the time together really count. I loved capturing these candid moments.

We chased the light and caught it for sunset shots—and then Lindsay and Shane had their first dance as the sun went down and the twinkle lights strung across the yard came on to sparkle over the party.

Thank you for finding our work. We'd love to chat if it resinates with you!

We love connecting over coffees or fizzy water or beers!
