intimate backyard Saskatchewan wedding
This intimate backyard Saskatchewan wedding of Ash and Dean was one of my favourite destination weddings. You wouldn’t think Davidson, Saskatchewan was a popular destination spot but there is something very dreamy about the prairie skyline. I have always felt at home in a wide open space and loved being a part of this.
When you meet your future husband whilst sporting a neon spandex workout get-up, I say things are going to be fun and silly. Their wedding day with friends and family was no different. These two had a laid back morning surrounded by their close friends, some of who were there they day they met! All day I heard people say, remember when, or remember that time… throughout the day, the good times were remembered and celebrated. I couldn’t help but think of this day as a new memory being created for all of them.
As I bounced back and forth between the ladies and men getting ready the anticipation and tears built. After the first look in Dean’s parents house (former town bank) we headed out to his brother’s land for some fun photos with the bridal party. Then back to the home of Dean’s parents for the exchange of vows by Dean’s uncle. The reception hall was decorated by the most beautiful succulents grown by Dean’s mom and her friends and placed in tea-cups. The bunting was all made by hand by Ash’s Baba and aunts, it was the cutest thing I’d ever seen.
This was one of the most beautiful, thoughtful and love-filled weddings I have had the honour of attending
