March 9, 2012 / Engagements Weddings YAY!
wrap it up!
As a designer I am smitten with paper. Part of the excitement of running my own photography business was creating the presentation and packaging. I loved hated building my brand and I think although I will probably never be satisfied (worst. client. ever.) I am mostly done and mostly happy. mostly.
Everything leaves with a hand written note, whether the client can read it or not is debatable.. I have super messy hand printing. I also include a Image Usage guide that includes my referral program information. I believe by far the best advertising on the planet is word of mouth. I love my clients, therefore I am bound to love their friends. I offer each client the opportunity to save on their next session booked with me, or cash in on a print credit from a past one.
Last month I started a new relationship with the amazing Julia of Herbivore Botanicals ( check out her Etsy shop!!) out of Seattle Washington for my welcome gifts to newly booked wedding clients. Just a thank-you for trusting me to document their amazing day. I truly believe this is an honour my clients be-still on me and I do not take that lightly. Julia creates the most amazing handmade soaps and body products and her vegan philosophy mesh very well with my hippy standards – I mean really, she has little bunnies posing with her soap, who can’t love that? I couldn’t resist.
My letter-press business cards are seriously swoon worthy – I got them printed with Oh Happy Day
I hand paint the edges a yellow to match the die on the front. love.
Custom DVDs for each wedding & session. I print them in my office on my Epson Artisan.
I also do a limited amount of custom design work each year. I love working with photographers and creatives. Message me if you have some cool ideas for a new brand!
