LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT 

In honouring the sacred land on which we reside, we gratefully acknowledge that we are gathered on Treaty 6 territory—the cherished and ancestral home of the Cree, Dene, Blackfoot, Saulteaux, and Nakota Sioux peoples. We also recognize that this land is rich with the histories, cultures, and traditions of the Métis Settlements and the Métis Nation of Alberta, spanning across Regions 2, 3, and 4 within the cherished Northwest Métis Homeland. With reverence and respect, we acknowledge and honour the enduring connection of these Indigenous peoples to the land, waters, and skies that sustain us all.
